Austin-Bergstrom International Airport
The Good Traveler member since: 2016
Further reducing our carbon footprint is an annual goal of Austin-Bergstrom International Airport. Renewable energy sources, such as wind generated electricity, have powered the terminal since 2011. These efforts reduced the airport’s scope 1 and 2 carbon emissions by 75%. Since then, the wind generated electricity has been extended to the airfield to convert diesel powered vehicles to electrical.
From its opening, Austin’s airport has employed a variety of environmental initiatives. The airport is pleased to offer passengers the opportunity to reduce their carbon footprint through The Good Traveler.
