Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport
The Good Traveler member since: 2021
The Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport (SDF) is pleased to offer passengers the ability to offset their carbon footprint for their flights through The Good Traveler Program. This program further enhances our sustainability efforts, which include the replacement of thousands of light fixtures throughout the airport campus with LEDs, bottle filling stations throughout the terminal which save nearly 150,000 plastic bottles from landfills each year, planting 500 trees annually in our community, and sustainable construction practices like recycling thousands of cubic yards of concrete on-site each year during pavement rehab projects.
SDF is owned and operated by the Louisville Regional Airport Authority. Eight commercial airlines offer nonstop service to 35 nonstop destinations from Louisville. SDF is home to UPS Worldport, moving millions of tons of product each year, making it the 3rd busiest cargo airport in North America and 5th in the world. SDF is an economic powerhouse for the region that generates $10.4 billion in economic impact every year and is responsible for 1 in 8 jobs.
